Klaus Dinger RIP

Klaus Dinger (second from the left), drummer for Kraftwerk in the early days, inventor of the Motorik beat, and co-founder of Neu! and La Düsseldorf!, passed away March 21:st, just days before his 62:nd birthday.

This fantastic postcard was sent by Ralf Hütter and Florian Schneider to Klaus Dinger in 1973. I assume Dinger is on the drums.

Bernd Becher RIP

Together with his wife Hilla, Bernd Becher has acheived great success as a photographer of industrial buildings, selling tons of grayscale coffetable books to the post industrial generation and being awarded a row of prestigeous awards, including the Hasselblad Award in 2004.



A lesser known fact is that Bernd + Hilla Becher took the above picture for the inner sleeve on the first Kraftwerk album.

June 22:nd this year, Bernd Becher passed away.

Christa Fast RIP

Christa Fast, widow of Conny Plank and proprietor of Conny's studio after Conny's death in 1987, is also gone now.
